Licensing and Referral Disclosure

Effective date: September 8, 2026

Please read this first. Clearline Septic is a referral service operated by Navarro Pro Services. We are not a registered septic tank contractor, and we do not pump, inspect, repair, install, or perform any other work on septic systems. When you submit a request, we share it with independent septic companies who are registered to do that work. Any work on your property is performed by that company under its own agreement with you — not by us.

Who we are

Our licensing status

Septic tank contracting in Florida is regulated under Part III of Chapter 489, Florida Statutes, and administered by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) through its Onsite Sewage Program. Section 489.552 requires registration with the department for anyone who performs or holds themselves out as performing septic tank contracting.

Navarro Pro Services does not hold a septic tank contractor registration, because it does not perform septic tank contracting. We hold no contractor license, no septic registration, no certificate of authorization, and no waste hauler permit. We make no claim to any professional credential.

The companies we refer you to are responsible for holding and maintaining their own registration, insurance, and permits. We are not a licensing authority and we do not certify, endorse, guarantee, or vouch for any contractor's registration, insurance, workmanship, pricing, or conduct.

Verify the contractor who contacts you

Because we cannot guarantee any contractor's credentials, please verify them yourself before allowing work on your property. It takes a few minutes and it is the single most useful thing you can do to protect yourself.

  1. Ask for their DEP registration number. Florida septic registrations are typically formatted SR#### for a Registered Septic Tank Contractor or SM#### for a Master Septic Tank Contractor. A contractor who will not give you a number is a red flag.
  2. Check it against the state's Active Contractors list. DEP publishes a roster of currently registered septic tank contractors, along with a separate list of contractor enforcement actions, on its Septic Tank Contractor Registration pages at floridadep.gov. Confirm the registration is active and has not expired.
  3. Check the enforcement list too. An active registration does not mean a clean record. DEP's contractor enforcement list shows disciplinary history.
  4. Confirm the business entity. If the contractor operates under a company or fictitious name, that business should be active with the Florida Department of State and hold a current certificate of authorization.
  5. Ask for a certificate of insurance naming their general liability coverage, and ask whether they carry workers' compensation for the crew coming to your property.
  6. Get the scope, price, and warranty in writing before work begins.

Permits and inspections

Repairs, replacements, and system alterations in Florida often require a permit and inspection. Permitting and inspections are generally handled through your county health department, and the state Onsite Sewage Program sits with DEP. The contractor performing the work — not Clearline Septic — is responsible for telling you when a permit is required and for coordinating it.

If something goes wrong

Your agreement for septic work is with the contractor, so disputes about price, workmanship, damage, or warranty are between you and that company. Contact them first.

You can also report concerns to the state, whether or not you contact us or the contractor:

We also want to hear about it. If a company we referred you to treated you badly, misrepresented its credentials, or did poor work, tell us at (407) 907-0927 or navarropro@aol.com. We will stop referring homeowners to a company that mistreats them.

Keeping this page accurate

Regulatory details and agency contact information change. If anything on this page appears out of date or does not match what you find in the state's records, please tell us so we can correct it.
